Fischerspooner

Okay.

I got distracted while I was researching for a paper I have to write on a contemporary artist for Art and Design Now. (-_-) I ended up stumbling onto a page full of videos by this freaky band Fischerspooner, who I remembered liking a few years ago.....

And so, the paper research went out the window and I started drawing this pic from the video Emerge. If you are interested, here is the link to the video: [link]

I think it's very interesting and artistic, but it's also a little (er, a lot) strange.... try to imagine an electronic song, David Bowie at the height of his glam days, and a Sigfried and Roy show all smooshed together. I don't deny it's weird as hell but somehow I still love it. Go check it out, what's the wost that could happen? There was one point in the verses when the lead singer (Casey Spooner I believe??) did the most fabulous lip-curl bared-teeth thing for a split second, and I just had to draw it, with my beloved prismacolor markers. ^__^

I didn't feel like shrinking this one. It looks better bigger. Sorry guys.

And my paper now will never get finished. ^__^
