3 week project, decided to redo a Pied Piper illustration I did two years ago.

Acrylic ink and pencil crayon on that lovely paper that I like. (it's called kanpei apparently) I've been getting a lot of positive feedback for the experiments I've been doing in this style, but it makes a couple of problems.....

It's really hard to get rich vibrant colors, and it is almost impossible to scan properly. The original is significantly less muddy, with nice deep blue lines and a nicer green.

Which isn't to say the original couldn't be much improved! I'm not sure, I'm going to need to experiment a bit more before I start making stuff that I'm completely comfortable with.

I really like the way the rat is part of the hills and the houses. I like the style of this one.

It remember me a german story about a boy who controled the rats with his flute and freacked people for that. He took revenge to bewitched children of this people like rats, or something like that.

(sorry for the crappy english xD;)
