No, I haven't died or disappeared, just submerged in school and things. +_+ The semester is over now and strangely enough, I'm starting to feel MORE ambitious now than when I was working on projects during the semester. Anyways, I'll be uploading a few projects now, and hopefully some other stuff that I have plans to do.
So here's something. This was a project from an illustrated book/graphic novelish series thing, a book cover for the book The Vesuvius Club. The book is set at the turn of the century (the last one. ^_^) so I did it in an art nouveau poster-ish kind of style. The rest of the project unfortunately is a wee bit of a gong show but we'll see, I may upload bits from it in the future.
The book by the way is very interesting and I quite recommend it. It's sort of a turn-of-the-century mystery-horror thing written with quite a wicked sense of humor, I thought. I hear that the BBC is considering making into a tv series of some sort.
Oh! lol. perhaps I didn't fade out the watermark quite enough. My dad's side of the family is from Lithuania. Most people's first guess is Greek for some reason.

yeah! i was asking because my friend's last name is liaukevicius, and i thought yours sounded a bit lithuanian, though my second choice was greek. it's a great name~
Hey, that's neat. Hmmmmm.... I wonder. Hey, ask your friend this... does anyone in the family spell it differently? For some strange reason, everyone in my family seems to have their own spelling of it. My grandparents spell it differently from my dad, and my great uncles spell it differently, and even my uncle has a different spelling. I have no idea at all what the original spelling of the name is, or why everyone would keep changing it... are there characters in the alphabet that don't exist in english, or maybe everyone's just trying to make it more phonetic to pronounce? I don't know. Weird.
