Okay, time to stop doing portaits and do something else, but here's one last face....

Hmmmm, I think I had a good idea when I began this, but it didn't quite work.... I always like the idea of having an unfinished quality in finished pieces, areas that are rendered and areas that are sketchy.... I liked the idea that the front of the face would be painted and then fall back to my original sketch..... hum, hum. Well interesting experiment anyways.

Forgive me for covering everything in splatters, but I think they look neat.

The face, by the way, is David Tennant's, and for some reason he is surprisingly hard to draw accurately. Oh well.





I dunno! Let me know what you guys think! I've done a few painter experiments now, any tips for me? What nifty painter tricks should I try?

Next Painter project: a 30-inch wide painting, due in two weeks, if my computer can handle it! (painter is a goddamn memory hog)
