Project: 4 illustrations for a story, communicating a sense of mood.
Story: The highwayman.
He whistled a tune to the window, and who should be waiting there
But the landlord's black-eyed daughter,
Bess, the landlord's daughter,
Plaiting a dark red love-knot into her long black hair.
Acrylic ink. These were all done in a super rush so I feel they are not my very best work, but the teacher still seemed to like them. The model is Lalla Ward. (yes I am a loser.) Red is my new friend.

I especially like the purple on the left of the background, there's something energizing about it, and it brings life to the rest of the drawing.
